I know you will forgive me for almost paraphrasing the McCann Erickson slogan of The Truth Well Told. My good friend, raconteur, cyclist, dog lover, husband, father and all round good bloke, Jimmy O’Shea can sure tell a tale.
Jimmy, or James to many, is founder and chief bottle washer at James Herren Menswear, a Dawson Street institution for nearly forty years. With the economy reopening and most men in the country a little the scruffier for the pandemic, we decided to interview Jimmy. He told us about how he named the store, changing tastes in fashion, customer service and so much more.

Since reopening the store, business has been brisk and many men are looking the better of a trip to Dawson Street.
My favourite recollection of our talk is this brief segment where Jimmy recalls founding the business and his unique approach to the name.
